The Anzacs, the soldiers of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, are remembered for their bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our beloved Australia

The Anzacs, the soldiers of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, are remembered for their bravery, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to our beloved Australia. Their legacy lives on to this day, and we honour their memory with deep gratitude and respect.

In John 15:13, Jesus tells his disciples, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."

This verse encapsulates the selflessness and courage demonstrated by the Anzacs, who willingly risked and gave their lives for the freedom and safety of their fellow citizens.

The Anzac spirit embodies qualities such as loyalty, perseverance, and mate ship. They faced unimaginable challenges and hardships, but their sense of duty and honour never wavered. They inspired countless others to follow in their footsteps and defend the values and principles that we hold dear.

We owe a debt of gratitude to the Anzacs for their sacrifices and for the example they set for future generations. Their legacy continues to inspire us to work towards a better world, one in which freedom, justice, and peace are upheld.

Indeed, the legacy of the Anzacs has continued to inspire generations of Australian and New Zealand defence men and women who have served and continue to serve their countries with bravery and distinction.

From the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea to the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, Australian defence personnel have demonstrated time and time again their unwavering commitment to their duty, their fellow soldiers, and their country. They have faced unimaginable challenges, risking their lives and making tremendous sacrifices to protect the freedoms and values that we hold dear.

Their service, like that of the Anzacs before them, is a testament to their courage, loyalty, and love for their country. They have truly embodied the spirit of mate ship and have made immense contributions to Australia's national security and global peacekeeping efforts.

As we honour the memory of the Anzacs, let us also express our gratitude and respect for the Australian defence men and women who have served and continue to serve. Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we are proud to call them our fellow Australians.
