Born on December 1, 1928, in Bastrop, Texas, Billy Waugh served his country with distinction for over 50 years, first as a Green Beret in the Korean War and later as a CIA paramilitary officer in Vietnam, Central America, and Afghanistan. He worked behind enemy lines in some of the most dangerous and challenging environments, earning a reputation as a fearless and skilled operator. Waugh's career as a combat veteran began in 1951 when he joined the US Army and was assigned to the 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment.
