🚨Trigger warning details about a kids autopsy 🚨


Next witness is Doctor Garth Warren forensic pathologist.

He did the autopsy on JJ Vallow on June 11, 2020, it took about four hours. 

Warren says JJ died of asphyxia by plastic bag over the head and duct tape over the mouth. Bound with duct tape, bruising on the arms and abrasion to the neck.

There was a white plastic bag over JJ's head wrapped around his face multiple times.
duct tape all the way down to the neck. His forearms, ankles and hands were bound with duct tape.

There was a scratch like abrasion on the left side of JJ's neck.

bruises on his left arm and a hemorrhage on the right thumbnail. 

"There were also other areas that were concerning or suspicious bruising on the ankles that may have been associated with the duct tape."

"All of the organs showed decomposition changes but I did not see any trauma to the internal organs or evidence of overt natural disease to any of the organs."

Full-body x-rays were performed also but they did not show any overt fractures or abnormalities.

The toxicology report shows low levels of ethanol (alcohol), a drug called GHB, caffeine and theobromine that can be found in cocoa and tea.

"there's really no way for me to tell for sure whether this is just a naturally occurring product in the body that was there or if JJ was given GHB. I can't say one way or another based on the levels."

It's said Lori Vallow didn't seem too concerned as she was smiling and engaging in conversation.

Autopsy photos entered. 
The judge decided people in the courtroom will not see the photos. Jurors, the defense and prosecution will see the photos. 

In the beginning Lori is not looking at the screen

An image shows duct tape covering JJ's mouth from jawline to jawline. 

Lori glanced then looked away.

photo shows JJ's hands wrapped multiple times with duct tape.

Several more pictures shown Lori appears to be crying. She is wiping her eyes with tissues and will not look at the screen.

Warren describes a photo of the left side of JJ's neck. 

"There are a couple of things you can see. One you can see a slight or faint impression of where the duct tape was around the neck.

Warren describes a photo that shows bright red bruising under JJ's fingernails. 
"It essentially means there has been trauma to that area and blood vessels have been broken. It essentially caused a bruise."

Wood asks if the bruises on the neck could be from decomposition? The Dr said He don't think so

Victim of Auschwitz.... Istvanka "Istvan" Reiner was the son of Jewish parents Livia Vermes and Bela Reiner. Bela converted to protestantism and their son Istvan was never circumcised per the Jewish custom since she was no longer Jewish. Regardless, Istvan and his parents were deemed to be Jews and were eventually placed in the Miskolc ghetto (Hungary). It wasn't long until they were sent to the concentration camps at Auschwitz. Once there, Istvan and his mother were separated and he ended up in the care of his grandmother. He wasn't there long when he and his grandmother met the same fate in the gas chamber. 11,000 people from Miskolc were killed in the concentration camps along with Istan. Amazingly, his mother and brother survived the war and migrated to the United States in 1947. Istvan's year of death may have been in 1943. Never Forget!
